Tokio Hotel: Magdeburg, goodbye!
Tokio Hotel rather live from their suitcase, than in Magdeburg.
At a gig in 2001 in their hometown Magdeburg, the twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz met Gustav Schäfer and Georg Listing. They founded the band ‘Devilish’, which have had many gigs around Magdeburg and later celebrated as Tokio Hotel worldwide success.
Everything started in Magdeburg. But the Kaulitz-twins won’t return to their roots. So Bill told the magazine ‘Unicum Abi’: “We’re often at the hotel than at home and we try to make it as enjoyable as possible. Tom and I never had a homeward bound to a city. My family is home for me.” Magdeburg was just one stop on the way to an popstar. It’s similar to his brother Tom: “For us, it makes no difference, in which city we live. We hardly leave our plot. It’s not like that we’re going on the street and lick an ice at the Alster.”
Thw two popstars had at least flats in Hamburg and Berlin. But what happened with the saxony-anhaltic metropolis. “Magedburg? No”, said Bill clearly. “A major city is more practically for us, ’cause everything runs out. In Magedburg, it’s so much harder…”. And Tom interrupts him: “…even to get into a car.”
The band released their third album ‘Humanoid’.
